The third annual Harley-Davidson/Buell of Baton Rouge "Links for Locks " Golf Classic was held on March 22, 2004 at the University Club. Golfers and volunteers participated in a fun afternoon of golf, raffle prizes, and a jambalaya dinner.

The special guest was Dr. Marc Glashofer, a resident at Tulane Medical Center , who suffers from alopecia areata. Dr. Glashofer developed alopecia areata as a child and is planning a career in dermatology.

Winners in the Gross Division were Mark Webre, Jim Landino, Tim Melancon, and Page Breaux. Net Division winners were Tom Tanner, Alton Ashy, Kevin Kimball, and Bill Rigell. Major sponsors of the tournament included Harley-Davidson Buell of Baton Rouge, Cox Communications, Merrill Lynch, Neese Rainwear, Drs. Gary and Carol Ter Haar, Adams and Reese, Mr. and Mrs. E.L. "Bubba" Henry, Taylor, Porter, Brooks, & Phillips, Mrs. Imo Brown, Mr. John W. Barton, Sr., Chick-fil-A, Heineken USA, Paretti Jaguar of Baton Rouge, State Farm Insurance, Carl Morrow-agent, The Moran Group, Sprint, and Rue Cou Cou.

Over $48,000 was raised and funds will go directly to the National Alopecia Areata Foundation (NAAF) for research. Alopecia Areata is an autoimmune disease in which the body attacks its own hair follicles and causes hairloss which can be complete. Currently there is no cure and no universally effective treatment for this disease.
